Astrology

The position of the 7 visible celestial bodies to the unaided eye - sun, moon, the zodiac constellations and 5 planets - hold the key to understanding life 

Natal Astrology

• A doctrine that believed that the configuration fo the sun, moon and plants at the time of your birthday affected a person's personality 

  • Horoscope: A chart showing the positions of the planets in the sky at birth 

    • Determined by which planets were located in the zodiac 

Ptolemy Tetrabiblos

• Compiled the tetrabiblos a book on astrology

  • This is still considered the bible of the study and is older than abrahamic religions 

Zodiacs

• Determined by the part of the background sky which the sun appears in front of during the time of your birth → all are found on the ecliptic  

  • Sun Sign: specifically your zodiac determined by the suns positioning

Pseudoscience

• False in literally all aspects → there has been a shift by 1/12 of a zodiac
