europe was low status becuase the way they ran there country (fuedilism) they where not paying people so people didnt want to work.

Silk Roads

From China to the Mediterranean, it was a land route protected by empires, and they had better transport technology

Sea Roads

South China to East Africa through the indian ocean, protected by Islamic empires, knew lots of navigation like monsoons. 

Sand roads

North Africa to West Africa and Mediterranean land-based travel by the niger river to land animals to Sahara for transport.
