Cornual Nerve Block

Where is the injection site?

Between the lateral canthus of the eye and the base of the horn along the crest dorsal to the temporal fossa.

The point of injection on this line is halfway between the lateral canthus of the eye and the base of the horn or about 2.5 cm below the base of the horn (bud).

Place tourniquet above injection site (tuck the end under itself)

Move the needle around gently until we see blood coming out (venous plexus)
