Citrate Synthase

• Combines Acetyl-CoA + Oxaloacetate → Citrate

• Starts the cycle.

Aconitase

• Converts Citrate → Isocitrate

• Rearranges the molecule.

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase

• Converts Isocitrate → α-Ketoglutarate

• Produces NADH and releases CO₂.

α-Ketoglutarate Dehydrogenase

• Converts α-Ketoglutarate → Succinyl-CoA

• Produces NADH and releases CO₂.

Succinyl-CoA Synthetase

• Converts Succinyl-CoA → Succinate

• Produces ATP or GTP.

Succinate Dehydrogenase

• Converts Succinate → Fumarate

• Produces FADH₂.

• Only Krebs enzyme found in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

Fumarase

• Converts Fumarate → Malate

• Adds water.

Malate Dehydrogenase

• Converts Malate → Oxaloacetate

• Produces NADH.

• Ends the cycle and regenerates oxaloacetate.
