Why did Germany’s economy collapse and made Hitler seem great?

Had to get loans from America, so when Black Thursday hit, US gov. had to call loans in. Germany’s economy collapsed, unemployment increased, people became desperate and looked up to Hitler who promised strong leadership, creation of jobs and economic recovery.

ended hostilities between the Allies and Germany, 11 November 1918. The Armistice did not end the First World War itself, but it was the agreement which stopped the fighting on the Western Front while the terms of the permanent peace were discussed.
