Crista galli
Attachment site for cranial dural septa to help stabilize brain within the skull

Cribriform plate
- lateral to crista galli
- attachment for falx cerebri (which stabilizes the brain)

Ethmoid bone
- forms: anteriomedial floor of cranium; roof of nasal cavity; part of medial wall of each orbit; part of nasal septum

Ethmoidal air cells
- cavities within the ethmoidal labyrinth

Middle nasal concha
- disrupts movement of air in order to warm, humidify and cleanse it

Orbital plate
Forms part of medial wall of orbit

Perpendicular plate
- forms part of nasal septum
- inferior midline projection of ethmoid bone
