A purposeful policy designed by on ethnic or religious group to remove by violent and terror-inspiring means the civilian population of another group from certain areas.

Ethnicity

Identity of a group of people who share cultural traditions of a hearth; identity tied to place

Ethnoburb

Cluster of ethnic population in a suburb

Ethnophobia

Fear of people of a particular ethnicity

Genocide

Attempt to eliminate entire group from existence through mass killings

Nationalsim

Loyalty and devotion to a nationality

Nationality

Identity of a group who shares legal attachment to a country

Race

Identity of group who shares a perceived trait; is a social construct

Racism

Belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Racist

A person who believes in racism

Redlining

Financial institutions refuse to lend money for people to purchase or improve property deemed "hazardous" to investment; refusing services to inhabitants (typically minority races, minority ethnicities, or low income residents)

Sharecropper

A person who works fields rented from a land-owner and pays the rent and repays the loans by turning over to the landowner a share of the crops.

The discrepancy in opportunities, status, attitudes, etc, between men and women

Composite measure reflecting inequality in achievement between women and men in three dimensions (reproductive health, empowerment, and the labor market)
