What is a student t-test
A statistical test used to determine if there is a significant difference between the means of two groups
What is the critical value
The value against which you compare the calculated t-statistic to decide whether to reject the null hypothesis

What is a null hypothesis
A statement saying there is no effect or difference and is a starting point for testing
What would happen if the student t-test has a value above the normal critical value
The null hypothesis is rejected and we say there is a significant difference between the means

The null hypothesis is accepted and we say there isnt a significant difference between the means
