1793 declaration to avoid involvement in European wars affairs and the French thought we would help them in secret (we didn't)
What did Edmond Genet do in America, where was he sent from, and how did he die?
He would pay American sailors gold bricks to attack British vassals and was sent from France. He died by having a bad letter written about him from Washington, and when he got back to France, he was decapitated.
Anthony Wade is someone who?
Who was appointed by George Washington himself and was the new commander of the US army but GW started getting letters about Wade being crazy.
What is the Battle of Fallen Timbers?
a massacre in Ohio where Anthony Wade killed everybody (i mean everybody) because the British military was giving aid to the Native Americans to kill Americans.
The treaty of Greenville did what?
Gave us the Native American land after the battle of Timbers because of how brutal it was.
Who got sent to England to put the the impressment to an end? And what treat did congress say about the treaty?
John Jay got sent to England and when he got back he had a treaty called Jay's Treaty and congress looked at it and said no.
Who got sent to Spain because GW received a letter from him?
Thomas Pinckney got sent to Spain on behalf of a letter.
What is/significance about Pinckney's Treaty?
1795 agreement defining US-Spain borders and navigation. This means Spain will open up New Orleans, so we can also sail our ships from there to the Mississippi River. Also, GW took this treaty to Congress and threatened to burn it if they did not resolve the Jay's Treaty. And they do.
With the farewell address who actually wrote it and what are the 4 pieces of advice GW gave us.
Hamilton wrote it but talked to him so he could write it. and the 4 pieces of advice is. 1. Political Parties 2. Sectionalism 3. Foreign Alliances 4. National Debt
