How does sucking chest wound present
Hole with pink frothy blood coming out, occlusive dressing taped on 3 sides on front or asherman dressing, taped on 4 sides in back

Can you repeat “the sky is blue in Cincinnati”
How long they have been feelings symptoms (when last seen normal)
EPI Pen
Anaphylaxis, only can give EpiPen to patient it’s prescribed to
Blue to the sky, Orange to thigh, put in patients hand
Remove blue cap
Guide into side of thigh, leave for 5 seconds, remove and tell them to massage area for 10 seconds or so
Half life of EpiPen is 20 minutes, 0.3 mg dose
MDI
Asthma attack/ COPD w wheezing, only if prescribed to patient, shake MDI, tell them to exhale, squeeze and inhale, hold for 10 seconds, exhale, and repeat
Neck wound bandaging
Cover with gauze, then occlusive dressing (prevent air from entering), pressure bandage or ace bandage wrapped around armpit
Eye wound bandaging
Cup, cover eye, maintain same eye position, then penetrating object wrap, wrap both eyes so they don’t move

Unstable pelvis (pelvic fracture), assume someone holding c-spine
Check pelvis by pushing in and down
Lie next to patient and measure using flaps
Separate two sides and put on sides of patient, shimmy under patient, click top clamp and then bottom clamp
When to check AOx4
When administering something orally, if fam says they’re off or they’re just acting weird
PERRL
Can indicate neurogenic shock, ICP, drug overdose
Check that both eyes constrict individually with light
Ask patient to close eyes, then shine light in left and ask to open while looking at right eye to see that it reponds equally— repeat on other side
Halo test
Indicated by fluid coming from nose or ears, could indicate neurogenic shock or cspine
Fold gauze into square (twice)
Dip inner corner in fluid and unravel, if there is ring of lighter fluid then it is positive
