Incisal edge preparation
Should be flat and prepared with a slight inclination lingually to avoid sharp angles.
Stress concentration
A condition where stress is concentrated at sharp angles, increasing the risk of fracture.
PJC
A type of crown preparation to be avoided on teeth with edge to edge occlusal relation.
Armamentarium
The collection of instruments required for a dental procedure, including handpieces and various types of diamond burs.
Depth-orientation grooves

Incisal reduction
The process of reducing the incisal edge to allow access to the finish line area of the preparation.
Lingual reduction
Reduction performed to the lingual surface of a tooth, careful not to over-reduce the junction between the cingulum and the lingual wall.
Retentive preparation
