What are the two main types of plant reproduction?

Self-pollination occurs within the same flower or same individual plant, while cross-pollination occurs between flowers on different individuals of the same species.
What process describes the fusion of male and female gametes?
Fertilization.
What are monocots and eudicots?
Monocots have a single cotyledon, while eudicots have two cotyledons.
What is the function of the endosperm in seeds?
It provides nutrition to the plant embryo during development.
What type of fruit is a berry?
A simple, fleshy fruit in which the fruit wall is soft throughout.
What is an aggregate fruit?
A fruit that develops from a single flower with several separate carpels that fuse or grow together.
What is an accessory fruit?
A fruit whose fleshy part is composed primarily of tissue other than the ovary.
What are examples of perfect and imperfect flowers?
Perfect flowers have both stamens and carpels, while imperfect flowers have either stamens or carpels but not both.
What is pollination?
The transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma.
