Reaction Paper
A document purposed to share personal thoughts and analyze material, structured with Intro, (optional) Summary, Reaction, Analysis, and Conclusion, and must show opinion and analysis supported with examples.
Review
A document purposed to judge the quality or performance of a work (e.g., book, film, product), focusing on a balanced, specific, useful evaluation with key elements including Overview, Critical analysis, Evidence, Opinion/Recommendation, and Conclusion.
Critique
A deep evaluation of strengths and weaknesses, purposed to suggest improvements, characterized by an objective tone, evidence-based arguments, and in-depth analysis.
Formalist Approach
A critical approach that focuses only on the text itself, examining its form, imagery, irony, and unity.
Feminist Approach
A critical approach that examines how women are represented and addresses patriarchy issues within a text.
Reader-response Approach
