External Attribution

Cause of behavior is due to something else.

Positive Illusions

Emphasize partners' positive qualities, minimize faults.

Destiny Beliefs

Beliefs that people are either compatible or they are not.

Growth Beliefs

Beliefs that relationship challenges can be overcome.

Egocentric Simulations

How we interpret others is mostly driven by how we ourselves would think, feel, and behave.
