Regulation 3 Firearms

It is unlawful to carry or have readily available any firearm, explosive, dangerous weapon or any other substance or material that may pose a danger to the Court. Officers have the authority to deny entry, expel from grounds anyone whose presence violates this regulation.

Regulation 4 Dogs

Dog cannot be on Court grounds unless on a leash that does not exceed 4 ft. No dogs allowed to enter SCUS building unless it is a certified service animal.

No Noise Disturbance/any noise that disrupts the order of decorum of the Court.

Regulation 6 Signs

Signs on perimeter sidewalks of the Court grounds can only be

  • made of cardboard, posterboard, or cloth.

  • Supports for signs must be made of wood and have dull ends, may not be hollow and may not exceed ¾ inch at largest point.

  • There shall be no nails, screws, or sharp objects protruding from the supports.

  • Can be no larger than 4 feet in length and width and not elevated to exceed 6 ft. above the ground.

Hand carried signs are allowed regardless of size.

  • they can’t form an enclosure

  • must be attended at all times

  • can’t be carried together to make a bigger single sign

  • no individual can have more than 2 handheld signs

Regulation 7 Demonstrations

No person can demonstrate or engage in activity that will attract a crowd or onlookers inside the Supreme Court building and grounds.

  • No picketing

  • No speechmaking

  • No marching

  • No vigils or religious services

  • No expression of views or grievances
