ventricular system
the fluid filled caverns/canals in the hollow brain
CSF
Cerebrospinal fluid fills the canals in the ventricular system and also in the subarachnoid space.
choroid plexus
the tissue in the ventricles of the cerebral hemispheres that produce CSF
the pathway of the CSF
-CSF is produced in the central
-flows from the paired ventricles of the cerebrum to the central cavities at the centre of the brain stem.
-CSF exits the ventricular system and into the subarachnoid space by apertures where the cerebellum attaches to the brain stem.
-CSF is absorbed by the blood vessels in the subarachnoid by the arachnoid villi
