general personality disorder

a pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others indicated by 3 or more symptoms: deceit, impulsivity, irritability, aggression, irresponsibility, lack of remorse, and disregard for social norms. Must be 18+ to diagnose and have history of conduct disorder before 15
borderline personality disorder
a pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image and affects, and marked impulsivity indicated by 5 or more symptoms: emotional instability, unstable relationships, identity disturbance, impulsivity, recurrent suicidal behaviors, chronic feeling of emptiness, inappropriate anger, and transient paranoia or dissociation
histrionic personality disorder
a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking indicated by 5 or more symptoms: discomfort when not the center of attention, inappropriately seductive or provocative behavior, rapidly shifting and shallow emotions, uses physical appearance to draw attention, impressionistic and vague speech, exaggerated, theatrical emotions, easily influenced by others or situations, and views relationships as more intimate than they are
narcissistic personality disorder
a pattern of grandiosity, need for affirmation, and lack of empathy indicated by 5 or more symptoms: grandiose sense of self importance, preoccupation with fantasies, belief of being special/unique, requires excessive admiration, sense of entitlement, exploits others for personal gain, lacks empathy, envious of others or believes they should be envious of them, and arrogant or haughty behavior
avoidant personality disorder
a pattern of social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and hypersensitivity to negative evaluation indicated by 4 or more symptoms
kleptomania
recurrent failure to resist impulses to steal items that have no personal use or monetary value
pyromania
deliberate and purposeful fire setting on more than one occasion for pleasure, gratification, or relief
intermittent explosive disorder
recurrent impulse or anger-based aggressive outbursts with rapid onset manifested by either outbursts of aggression or 3 episodes of destructive or harmful physical aggression within 12 months. Must be at least 6 years old to diagnose
oppositional defiant disorder
a childhood-onset disorder with frequent and persistent pattern of 4 symptoms from any category: angry/irritable mood, argumentative/defiant behavior, or vindictiveness lasting at least 6 months and 1x week
conduct disorder
pattern of behavior in which basic rights of others or societal norms are violated. 3 symptoms from any category in the past 12 months: aggression to people/animals, destruction of property, deceitfulness or theft, serious violations of rules. If 18+ ASPD may be correct diagnosis. Childhood-onset: before age 10, adolescent-onset: after age 10, unspecified onset: age unclear
obsessive-compulsive personality disorder
a pattern of preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and control indicated by 4 or more symptoms. Views behavior as justified and beneficial.
paranoid personality disorder
a pattern of distrust and suspicion that other’s motives are malevolent indicated by 4 or more symptoms
schizoid personality disorder
a pattern of detachment from social relationships and restricted emotional range indicated by 4 or more symptoms
schizotypal personality disorder
a pattern of acute discomfort in close relationships, cognitive or perceptual distortions, and eccentric behavior indicated by 5 or more symptoms
