Law of symmetry
Pulp chamber law
Canal orifices symmetrical to midline of tooth
Mandibular posterior: Mirror symmetric system, line direct mesiodistally via center of pulp chamber floor.
Exeption → Maxillary roots due to palatal roots.
Law of colour change
Pulp chamber floor darker than pulp chamber walls.
- Floor: Brownish/greysih
- Walls: Yellowish, dentin
Law of orifice location
Orifice of root canals always:
Located at juncitons of walls & floor, angles in floor wall junction & at terminus of roots dev. fusion lines.
Guidelines
Centrality: Floor & pulp chamber in center of root at CEJ level.
Cocentricity: Pulp chamber wall always concentric to external surface level of CEJ. External root anatomy = internal pulp chamber anatomy
CEJ: Distance from external tooth surface to pulp chamber wall is same (uniform) around CEJ
