Before

1. Wear Proper PPE

2. Safety Goggles or Face Shield

3. Close-Fitting Clothing to Avoid Entanglement

4. Steel-Toe Boots for Foot Protectio

5. Inspect the Machine

6. Check that all Guards and Covers are in Place

Safety in Lathe Machine Operations

During

1. Stand in a Safe Position, Away from Rotating Parts.

2. Start the Machine at a Low Speed Before Gradually Increasing It.

3. Keep Hands away from the Cutting Tool and Rotating Workpiece.

4. Use a Brush to remove chips or debris.

5. Monitor the Process
