Ideal Stages In EIA Process

Project Description

This is the first stage of EIA. Where the project development work plan, timelines and activities should be described in detail and quantitatively.

Construction Phase

This includes site preparation, including the removal of existing infrastructure, harvesting, clearing and grubbing, soil stripping, grading, blasting and levelling as needed in preparation for planned infrastructure.

Operation Phase

This occurs after construction is complete. During this phase, the project delivers its intended benefits and development becomes active and functional. While environmental impacts on receptors are managed and monitored.

Closure Phase

The last phase. Where ongoing monitoring and maintenance activities will be carried out throughout this phase until the objectives have been satisfied.
