• teenager, awkward and shy, Sammy is a role model but Lisa prevents some of influence, rekindles with Eddie

friendly, quickly becomes friends with Edward, loyalty to friends, friendship is permanent and extension of family

frustrated, loses job, hopeless and angry with Eddie’s ignorance, had to grow up quickly, angry at Eddie’s lack of empathy and immaturity

bitter, end of play, differences in life, his wife isn’t his anymore, and it could’ve all been different from a small chance
