Flight Operations Telephone Directory
Can be found in the documents module of the AC P-EFB app under Flight Operations/Flight Ops Telephone Directory.
Director, Flying Operations
Provides administrative, functional and technical direction to Air Canada's Director Aeronautical Support relative to the safe and proper execution of the Flight Dispatch Pre-departure Preparation and Flight Watch functions.
Duty Pilot
Acts on behalf of either Air Canada or Air Canada Rouge and is responsible to the respective Flight Operations Senior Management for all operational decisions during times when other managers are not available.
Primary functions of the Duty Pilot
First point of contact for Flight Operations in handling incidents and accidents and to represent Flight Operations in handling urgent operational matters.
Air Canada Rouge
Issues information, data, and documentation related to operations, training, procedures, and company infrastructure for the specific use of flight crew members.
Document App
A web application and P-EFB app where Air Canada Rouge publications and documentation can be found.
Safety Risk
Exist when there are no available means of verifying the use of resource material, other than those developed or approved by Air Canada Rouge, is valid and reliable.
Flight crew members
Shall not use unauthorized resource material in order to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM)
Aircraft type-specific operating procedures and information provided to Flight Crew in the operating manual applicable to the fleet.
Quick Reference Handbook (QRH)
Contains Normal and Non-Normal checklists.
Non-normal checklists
Contain checklists used by the flight crew to manage non-normal situations; can have both memory and reference items.
QRH Normal
Contains supplementary procedures, guidance, and reference information, and serves as a quick reference memory-aid to information required for flying operations.
Jeppesen Route Manuals
Contain the Airway Manual general sections, route information, instrument approaches, airport charts and information pages.
10-10 tailored terminal charts
Contain Air Canada provided information relevant to the particular airport.
Route Briefing Notes (RBN)
Reference documents containing general as well as specific route and aerodrome related information.
Area of Operation Notes
Provide information related to areas of operation such as The Americas (WATRS, Mexico, South America) and Overseas (ETOPS, North Atlantic, Pacific, Polar, Communications, etc.).
Airport Notes
Provided for long term destinations and provide supplementary information related to general operations at that airport; day-of operations may vary based on NOTAMs, local conditions at time of arrival, etc.
