Movement

a permanent increase in size and dry mass by an increase in cell number or cell size

Reproduction

the production of new offspring of the same kind of organism

Excretion

removal of toxic material, the waste products of metabolism and substances in excess from and organism

Nutrition

taking in of organic substances and mineral ions for growth, tissue repair and to obtain energy

Cellular respiration

a process that enables organisms to transform food into energy that their cells can use

Classification

arranging or organising organisms into groups

Species

a group of organisms that can reproduce to produce fertile offspring

Binomial System

an internationally agreed system in which the scientific name of an organism is made up of 2 parts showing the genus and species

Multicellular organism

organisms with chlorophyll that make their own food by photosynthesis

Flowering Plants

produce flowers (for pollination) and seeds inside fruits
