The Nature of The Trinity - “go make disciples of all nations, Baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

Practices (Orthodox)

Believe in Paedobaptism - Parents and Godparents make commitments on behalf of the child, promising to nurture them in faith. Orthodox’s triple immersion reaffirms the principal belief of the Trinity. 

Significance of Baptism (Individual)

Saving Action of God: “If we shared in Jesus’ death by being baptised, we will be raised to life with him” (Romans 6:5)

Significance of Baptism (Community)

Receiving a New Member of the Church: “For we are all baptised by one spirit” (1 Cor 12:13)
