patient is presented with a written pair of words and must decide if they are synonyms

participant is presented with a written word and must match it to one of four associated line drawings (eg word “mop” matched with an image of a bucket)

patient is asked to speak organically in response to some prompt (eg tell me what you did this weekend)

patient writes down a couple of sentences in response to some promt (eg write down what you did over the weekend)

patient is presented with spoken exception words (eg pint, yacht) and must write them down as they sound (eg yacht → yot)

read aloud nonwords

patient is presented with written nonwords and must read them aloud

decide if a printed nonword sounds like a real word

patient is presented with a written nonword and decides if, when spoken aloud, it sounds like a real word (eg phoaks →folks)
