Definition of a City
A large population center, with varying definitions by country based on population size.
Population Density
Calculated by dividing the population of a city by its area in square kilometers, expressed in inhabitants per square kilometer (hab/km²).
Blue Zone
An area where 5% of the world population lives.
Red Zone
An area where 5% of the world population lives.
Cartogram
A map that adjusts the size of countries based on their relative population figures.
