You’re about to indicate — what do you do FIRST? ⭐️
Mirrors
You’re about to turn or change lanes — what’s the sequence?
→ Mirrors → signal → slow down

Stopped at a junction for a while — what should you do before moving? ⭐️
Quick blind spot check
You’re about to brake — what do you check FIRST? ⭐️
Mirrors
You’ve been waiting at a junction — what extra check before moving?
Blind spot
You see a speed sign — what should you do?
Lock in the speed limit
Driver flashes you — what should you do?
Proceed only if safe (Examiners care about your judgement, not blind reactions.)
How many mph should you be within the speed limit (except on country roads where the road ahead is unclear? ⭐️
3mph
When should you always apply the handbreak? ⭐️
The handbrake should always be applied after performing a parking manouver, before you change gear to park.
How many MPH of the speed limit must you stay within? ⭐️
Going to slowly can even result in a major fault. Stay within 3mph of the speed limit. However, 55mph on a national speed limit road is acceptable. And on a country road without a clear view ahead, 45 is acceptable. Driving too slowly signals to the examiner that you aren’t aware of the speed limit, which could lead to a fail.
Avoid overthinking each action.
Keep this in mind.
