what is yoga
comes from sanskrit word Yuj (union)

kundalini yoga (shakti yoga)
form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetetive poses
purpose is to activate your kundalini energy or shakti
spiritual energy that’s said to be located at the base of your spine
restorative yoga
passive, meditative form of yoga that allows you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body
requires you to hold asanas or poses for an extended length of time, typically 5 mins or more
yin yoga
focus on slower mvmts to stretch muscle and CT to allow for improved flexibility
yang style yoga gets your blood pumping and stretches your muscles
this helps reshape your tissues overtime
