Get copper carbonate, put in ignition tube with the lid on top then heat it up for a few mins then take it out and put it on a beaker (Copper carbonate——> copper oxide + carbon dioxide)

put a spatula amount of iron oxide into an ignition tube, use the funnel to put carbon (spatula amount) into the ignition tube put a wool plug at the top of the tube. Heat for 3 mins by a Bunsen, waft the bottom of the tube over the Bunsen, place in a small beaker and cool for 5 mins. Pull a magnet on the side an the iron would be separated from the mixture Iron oxide + carbon = Iron + carbon dioxide
