• chemical change happens when 2 or more molecules interact.

• Atomic bonds are rearranged and new products are formed.

• 1 or more substances combine or decompose to form a different chemical substance.

• react, burns, forms, decomposed, rusting, sours, cooked, are molecular change.

What is chemical change similar to?

• taking 2 different words and scrambling them together to make a new word.

• ex. to + day = today.

What are the signs of a chemical reaction?

• bubbles - a gas formed.

• precipitate - a solid is formed.

• color change.

• temperature change - energy change.

• property change - (ex. a raw egg - fried egg).
