Motor End Plates

Sites where a motor neuron's axon terminus synapses with multiple skeletal muscle fibers (junction between 2 muscles). These form multiple synapses despite the fact that each muscle cell receives a single synapse.

Part of the neuron that produces the myelin sheath; functions in repair and regeneration of damaged nerves; wrap around the axon; aid the myelin in insulation

Special receptors for taste sensations that lie along the edge of the papillus. Contains specialized cells that contains transmembrane receptor proteins that bind to chemicals in food.

Opening in the surface end of taste bud where cilia is extended into from receptor cells to contact tastants (substances that can be tasted).
