it allows us to analyze which events had the biggest effects on our lives, and be able to categorize the importance of events
why is acknowledging cause and consquence important?
it allows us to analyze how an event happened, and what came out of an event. therefore we can avoid repeating the past (or repeat the past if it was good)
why is aknowledging continuity and change important?
it allows us to see the pace of change in events, and analyze whether events caused progress or decline in society
why is acknowledging historical perspectives important?
it allows us to analyze events from a more unbiased perspective, or a more period-friendly perspective, and to more accurately understand thoughts and feelings of society during an era
