What effect does heroin have on the body?

It slows down the bodys functions preventing physical and emotional pain. Taking too large a dose can cause a coma or even death. It can make you depressedand lead to addiction, respiratory issues, and an increased risk of infectious diseases.

Why is it bad to smoke during pregnancy

The baby wont get enough oxygen because the carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke binds to hemoglobin in the mother's blood, reducing oxygen delivery to the fetus. This can lead to low birth weight, preterm birth, and developmental issues.
