Christians beliefs about why evil exists

  • Free will, god has given us the choice and we chose to murder and steal and this is not gods fault

  • God made a perfect world and adam and eve them created evil when they disobeyed gods orders.Evil wasn’t created by god.

  • Life is a test , evil and suffering is a test of faith , we need evil to make us better and to help us recognise the good. Tests in life make us stronger

  • If he omnipotent , omnibenevolent and omniscent then why did does he watch all the evil and suffering in the world and not do anything about it? Why create a world with evil and suffering and not help.

  • If god created the world , why would he allow such flaws in the earth such as earthquakes and tsnunamis which kill thousand of people.

  • God is the only being capable of creating the universe. God is omnipotent .

  • Some christian’s believe god and science could have worked together. You can use science to explain the creation of the earth But god did have a hand in it.

  • “let there be light” was a reference to the big bang

  • Some people believe we are all just here by chance , there is no god and no science involved .

  • Evidence of evolution taking place over thousands of years , suggests god didn’t create the world in 7 days.
