• maintaining law and order. US = commitment to reforming police forces to make them more accountable. UK = starmer pledge for 13,000 new neighbourhood police officers 

UK Soft Left agree with who and on what?

agree with US Moderates

both agree on:

• mix of market friendly policies with some government intervention. US = pro market, want to see some reforms tho such as higher min wage to $15. UK = support well funded welfare state as well as social justice e.g. Blair’s New Labour 

• strong but pragmatic welfare state 

• sceptical of radical reforms 

UK Hard Left agree with who and on what?

agree with US Liberals

both agree on:

• big govt role

• critical of capitalism

• expanding access to healthcare. US = Medicare for All advocates. UK = increased funding for NHS e.g. Corbyn’s 2017 manifesto pledge - extra £30bn / year
