1. Crime in Brighton - IoD 2019 crime rank - Worse in the North Lain and Lanes with a value of 130. The total violence and offences are worst along the sea front and inland by Hollindean and Whitehawk. The least crime rates are Preston Park, Patcham and Rottingdean - slightly further inland.

The main oversea residents in Brighton are from Europe, between 100 and 300 compared to below 50 for all other residents' origin. With 88% of people ethnically white.

Population growth - was lower in Brighton and Hove (1.4%) than across the Southeast (7.5%)

2. Median age - increased from 35 to 38, lower than the southeast at 41

3. Family - percentage of households including couples and no children rose to 18.1% from 16%. The number of one person households increased to 23.3% from 24.5%

4. Country of birth - 77.5% England, decreased from 81%

Health - increase in 'very good' from 45.6% to 48.7%,

5. National identity - In 2021, 12.7% of Brighton and Hove residents did not identify with any national identity associated with the UK, increased from 10.3% in 2011.

6. Working hours - the percentage of people over the age of 16 in employment, working 49 hours a week, has decreased to 9.3% from 12.1%. this is like the decrease across the southeast, it also fell across England.
