English Civil war, 1642-1651. Represented parliament (people) regulating power of king by rebelling in ujust conditions. Result: Death of absolute ruler Charles I, beginning of more rights for people (parliament=more say in government, parliament ideally represents people). People ar removing away from absolutism, some power to parliament and not just all the king.

Bill of Rights, 1689. Put restrictions on power of monarchy and gave more individual rights to the people. Parliament now has freedom of speech, free elections for all, protection from cruel and unusual punishment. Yay now way less absolutism and now more fo rpoeple
