What sort of character is John Proctor?

Strong character - stubborn, easily angered, protective of Elizabeth, can be defensive but this is largely fuelled by guilt, he makes mistakes (e.g. lechery with Abigail) but resents himself for them and does have strong morals (e.g. refuses to implicate others), decision to not confess at end of play is a moral victory and takes a lot of strength

Well-respected woman, married to John Proctor, quite shy and reserved but emotional and loud when she’s angry or upset, cares a lot about the people she loves (JP specifically), values honesty, doesn’t like conflict very much
