Boil 1cup sugar w just enough water to cover it, stir well, after sugar is dissolved combine with 20green walnuts (cut into quarters), 750ml bottle Everclear, zest of 1 lemon or orange, (1 cinnamon stick, 1-2 whole cloves, 1 vanilla bean), store in sealed jar in cool dark place for 45 days (shake occasionally), strain into other jar for 2 months of aging

Garden-Infused Simple Syrup

Simmer .5cups herbs / flowers / fruit / spices in 1 cup water & 1cup sugar, let mixture cool, strain, add 1oz vodka, fridge or freeezer

Infused Vodkas

Fill jar with herbs (8-12 hours), spices & citrus rinds 91 month), and fruit (1 week), add vodka, store in cool dark place, strain & use within a few months

Limoncello & Other Liqueurs

Peel 12 fresh lemons (yellow rind only) & place in 1 750ml bottle of bodka in jar, cover & sit for 1 week, add simple syrup of 3cups sugar & 3cups water, let sit for 24 hours, strain, refrigerate overnight before drinking

Refrigerator Pickles

Slice or cube 2 cups of vegetables accordingly, toss with 2 teaspoons noniodized salt, sit for 30-45min, heat 2cups sugar & 1cup cider or white vinegar in saucepan, let cool, fill clean jars w vegetables & other pickling spices, top jars with vinegar mixture, seal tightly, refrigerate overnight

Homemade Berry Liqueur

Fill wide jar w fresh ripe berries (1-2 quarts), crush slightly, fill w bottle of vodka or brandy, let sit in cool dark place for 3-5 days, strain liqueur into new jar w fine mesh sieve, add 1cup simple syrup or to taste, citrus zest, store in fridge or freezer
