What is Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS)?
is an autoimmune disorder where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks normal proteins in the blood. This causes the blood to clot too easily, leading to blood clots in veins or arteries
What are Phospholipids?
they help prevent fat buildup in the liver, transport cholesterol out of cells, and form the main structure of cell membranes.
Antiphospholipid syndrome can lead to?

Why is a splenectomy done?
Splenectomy is done to stop the spleen from destroying too many platelets in APS patients with ITP.

2. RISK FOR FETAL INJURY RELATED TO IMPAIRED PLACENTAL BLOOD FLOW
