Peripheral-Route Persuasion
Attention-getting cues that trigger quick judgements (Ex. Social Media)
Central-Route Persuasion
Offers evidence and arguments for a belief that causes deep thinking
Foot-in-the-Door Principle
People doing something then following a small request by someone else (grabbing food, also grabs quick candy for someone)
Door-in-the-Face
Ask for a lot when someone is somewhere (Someone’s at Dry cleaning, another person asks them to go to the grocery store)
Role
Set of rules surrounding a social position that says how people in that position have to behave
