What are the two things we need to say before reading any surah?
Isti‘ādhah and Basmalah
What is Isti‘ādhah?
A: Isti‘ādhah means asking Allah for protection from Shayṭān before reading the Qur’an.
👉 We say:
“A‘ūdhu billāhi min ash-shayṭāni r-rajīm”
which means “I seek protection with Allah from the cursed Shayṭān.”
What is Basmalah?
Basmalah means starting with the name of Allah.
👉 We say:
“Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm”
which means “In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.”

Who are Ahl-Al-Kitab?
The people of the book who are the jews and christians.
Who are Al-Mushrikoon?
They are polytheist (people who believe in more than one god). They are people who commit shirk (associate partners with Allah)

No, Allah says in Surah Al-Hijr:
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ ٩
It is certainly We Who have revealed the Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.
This means that Allah will preserve the Quran
