Sartorius
the body's longest thigh muscle

Rectus femoris
straight muscle in the front of the thigh, part of the quads group

Vastus medialis
Teardrop-shaped muscle on the inner front thigh, part of the quads group

Vastus lateralis
the largest of the four quad muscles, located on the outer (lateral) side of the thigh

Vastus intermedius
part of the four quad muscles, located beneath the rectus femoris, close to the knee joint

Psoas major
long muscle in the lower back that connects the spine (T12-L5) to the femur (thigh bone)

Iliacus
a large, triangular hip muscle located deep in the inner part of the pelvis
