series circuit
it has a single route for current to flow, requiring all switches to be closed. If one lamp breaks, the circuit stops. Adding more lamps increases resistance, limiting current flow and reducing the brightness of the lamps due to shared energy transfer.
parallel circuit
it allows current to flow through multiple routes, reducing resistance and transferring energy to one lamp, resulting in brighter lamps. If one lamp breaks, other lamps continue to function, allowing individual control of each branch's lamps.
