Event - A collection of one or more outcomes.
Sample Space - The set of all possible outcomes from an experiment.
How can Venn Diagrams be used to represent Probability?
See Image:

What are Mutually Exclusive Events?
When two or more events have no outcomes in common.
For Mutually Exclusive Events: P(A+B) = P(A) + P(B)
What are Independent Events?
When one even has no effect on the other event.
For Independent Events: P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B)
What are Tree Diagrams?
A visual representation used to show the outcomes of two or more events in succession (See Image).
