Griffin & Berginer speculated that Goliath big stature was symptomatic of gigantism, an endocrine disorder. Gigantism is associated with a tumor of pituitary gland. Goliath has pituitary tumor, probable resulting from hypersecretion of growth hormone starting in his childhood
