Rational thinking- changes in behavioural + emotional responses which can be practiced until phobia is treated
Therapist help find solutions to problems the person is currently facing instead of looking for reasons for the behaviour

COGNITIVE
Networks of stored info abt threatening stimuli.
Include memory of bodily sensations associated with the stimuli- triggers further associations
AVOIDANCE
Attempts to disconfirm the persons inaccurate beliefs abt their fear through exposure w the aim of replacing the fear structure with new and +ve memories
Psychoeducation
Teach ppl w the disorder abt the links between the thoughts, emotions and behaviours and encourage them to provide evidence for their automatic -ve thoughts- develop more objective view
HW
Practice skills + strategies between sessions and report back on their experiences
APPLIED TENSION
Applying tension to muscles to try increase the BP throughout certain areas
BII- low BP- train patients to reduce instances of fainting and other unpleasant responses when exposed to med procedures
