characterized by a belief that one is socially inept, fear of rejection, and restrain personal relationships - very inclusive and isolated types of people, preoccupied with fear of embarrassment and being judged

some people with parkinson’s disease have more diagnosis, can be involved with this disorder

characterized by a split between conscious awareness from feeling, memory, cognition and identity - referring to detachment from your environment or surroundings, losing track of time. we all experience it to a certain extent such as reading and losing track of time or someone coming and going without you realizing as you’re distracted

a person claims that their identity has split into one or more distinct personalities or ‘alters’. used to be called multiple personality disorder, really controversial diagnosis. debate on legitimacy

likely therapist induced: as picked up in news reports it became more to public and mainstream attention and rate of diagnosis skyrocketed (form of hypnosis therapy specifically)
