The Water Cycle
The continual process of water moving from Earth’s surface to the atmosphere and back again.
Evaporation
a process by which molecules at the water’s surface absorb enough energy to change to a gas.
Transpiration
Plants release water vapor into the air as a product of photosynthesis.
Condensation
the process that makes water vapor into liquid water.
Precipitation
any form of water that falls from clouds and falls to Earth as rain, snow, hail or sleet.
