Noun

Adverb

Preposition
A word that shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and other words in a sentence. Examples include 'in', 'on', and 'between'.
Conjunction
A word that connects clauses or sentences. Examples include 'and', 'but', and 'or'.
Interjection
A word or phrase that expresses emotion or exclamation. Examples include 'wow!', 'oh no!', and 'yay!'.
Article
A word that defines a noun as specific or unspecific. Examples include 'the' (definite) and 'a/an' (indefinite).
Determiner
A word that introduces a noun and limits its meaning. Examples include 'this', 'some', and 'many'.
participle
A form of a verb that can function as an adjective. Examples include 'running' (present participle) and 'broken' (past participle).

if the formation of the verb is otherwise than the regular verb
linking verb
links a subject to a noun or an adjective in a predicate
transitive verb
a verb that needs direct object to complete itself. passes its action from subject to object
intransitive verbs
verbs that do not need a direct object; they make sense on their own
modal verb
